My years at Seaboard World Airlines had a very big impact on my life since it was the beginning of my formidable years being only 20 years old when I started. It was as close to family as you can get that is not family. I started as a cleaner and worked up to mechanic. I was asked and performed as an acting foreman at times. hop and on occasion had to deal with the flight crews. I was also very involved in the union, the TWU Local 504. (I was on the system board of adjustment, election committee, and also served as a shop steward).
I had occasions to meet some nice people due to this and also some important people.
In 1980 Seaboard was taken over by Flying Tigers, which lasted for nine years when Fed Ex took over Flying Tigers. I finished my working career and retired from Fed Ex.
